So. It's been a while.
The weather warmed up, but not until May. We've been busy getting the house prepared for selling. Sorting. Packing. Donating. Recycling. Storing. Moving. Visiting our grandson in PA and the granddaughters in TX. Moving for real the first week in July, right after the last family gathering in Keene. Alex is still working, but finishes up this coming Wednesday. The dogs and I have been holding down the fort in Dover.
No, not everything is here yet. Too bad too, we don't really have much more space in this house. Another bout of Sorting. Donating. Packing. etc. coming up.
Construction has begun on our new garage, trellis and portico. We have a wonderful team of people working with us on this project. Progress is visible and encouraging. The worst of the hot, hot weather seems to be behind us to the relief of all.
And the kayak is ready for her maiden voyage. All that needs to be done is to adjust the rudder & foot pegs. May I say how difficult it was to get any information on how to install the rudder? I did find the answer, but it was a lot of work searching on the internet. How hard is it to put a one page instruction sheet with the rudder kit? Sheesh.
Right now the kayaks are resting on the deck of our house. Soon, though...
